Frantiskovy Lazne - Czech great spa town

Frantiskovy Lazne - a picturesque Czech spa town inscribed on the prestigious UNESCO cultural heritage list in the summer of 2021.

Frantiskovy Lazne was founded on 27th April 1793 as the "Village of Emperor Francis". On this day, the designs of the first ground plan created by Abbé Gruber were approved by decree of the new Emperor Francis I. Thanks to the abundance of natural healing resources, Františkovy Lázně was declared a spa resort. Today the town has 21 mineral springs, therapeutic gas and the specialty of Františkovy Lázně has become the treatment with peat. Františkovy Lázně became the first peat spa in the world.
